Steven Kawczak directs Professional Development at Cleveland Clinic, US where he leads the centres of Continuing Medical Education (CME), International Medical Education, Scientific Publications and the Simulation Center. Steven is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic’s Lerner College of Medicine. He has been active in CME for over 20 years, implementing educational collaborations globally, developing training for education planners and directing educational programme design, accreditation and management. His areas of interest include CME and quality improvement, issues of bias in medical education and the humanities and medicine, specifically on cultural approaches to end of life care. Steven is a Past-President of the Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions, the global society for continuing education professionals, and a surveyor for the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.
